I am alive. I imagine that every missionary in all of Mexico is going to talk about the hurricane in one way or another. I will give you my quick 2 cents. There was a big hurricane. It hit land. Nothing happened. That's it. Nada nada limonada. We had to stay home on Friday but we got to go back to work on Saturday. It was definitely a miracle.
This week was a pretty good week. Lots of crazy stuff going on but it all turned out well. On Tuesday I went in divisions with the Elders from the area called Camichines. They've gotta a pretty fun area and we had a great time working. We taught 6 less active families the first day of divisions. The Elder I was with was surprised that all of the plans were working. I was grateful, haha. I think the best lesson we had was with a less active family with a nine year old girl. She has been fighting getting baptized because she wants to do her first communion in the Catholic church. We asked her why? She said for the dress and all that jazz. Well, we helped her out with that and now she wants to get baptized this Saturday.
Other than that there was nothing especially crazy going on over there. We just worked hard and had a great time. On Thursday we ended divisions and we got to go visit one of our progressing investigators. His name is Ignacio. He's super awesome. Hes like 60 years old and hes pretty frank about everything. He said that he wants to get baptized and has gone to church two times! He's read like half the Book of Mormon as well! It's been pretty awesome working with him.
Other than that the week was pretty good. The funny moment of the week happened on Sunday morning. I woke up like normal, got ready and was out the door and ready to go for church bright and early. We headed over to the house of a member who offered to take us to church and knocked. "ELders what are you doing here so early?" I look at my watch - "Brother its time to go!" I yelled back. He just started laughing there in the door way. "No one told you guys it was the day that they changed the hour right?" I returned to my house very embarrassed, haha. So yeah that happened.
This whole week was a great week.
HEY I bought a camera today so you don't have to worry about not getting pictures anymore!
Have a good week.
